Role Description

The SimCorp Dimensions Derivatives Subject Matter Expert (SME) serves as the primary expert for derivative products and associated operational workflows within SimCorp Dimensions (SCD). In this role, you will partner closely with business stakeholders, operations, risk, accounting, technology teams, and external vendors to design, configure, optimize, test, and support derivatives processing and functionality.

• Subject Matter Expertise: Act as the primary SME for derivatives processing, functionality, trade economics, and instrument structures within SimCorp Dimensions.
• Workflow & System Configuration: Partner with business, technology, and vendor teams to configure, validate, and optimize SCD derivative modules and related operational workflows.
• Lifecycle Management: Provide end-to-end expertise across trade capture, confirmation, valuation, collateral management, settlements, reconciliations, corporate actions, and lifecycle event processing.
• Requirements & Design: Lead business requirements gathering and translate complex operational needs into technical system solutions within SCD.
• Process Optimization & Control: Analyze existing business processes to identify opportunities for automation, standardization, operational efficiency, and risk mitigation.
• Troubleshooting & Data Quality: Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve complex derivative processing, valuation, data mapping, security master maintenance, and interface validation issues.
• Testing & Quality Assurance: Develop and execute comprehensive test strategies, UAT scenarios, system testing, reconciliation, and validation activities.
• Project Support: Support implementation, migration, upgrade, enhancement, and release initiatives across front, middle, and back-office functional areas.
• Reporting & Documentation: Assist in defining reporting requirements, supporting operational and management reports, and creating training materials and procedure documentation.
• Knowledge Transfer: Provide guidance and knowledge transfer to operational and technical teams on SCD derivatives capabilities and best practices.

Qualifications

• Derivatives Expertise: Demonstrated deep knowledge of OTC and exchange-traded derivatives (including interest rate, equity, credit, FX, and commodity derivative products).
• SimCorp Dimensions Experience: Hands-on experience implementing, supporting, configuring, or enhancing SimCorp Dimensions (SCD).
• SCD Derivatives Module Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of SCD derivatives functionality, trade lifecycle processing, valuations, collateral processes, settlements, reconciliations, and cashflow management.
• Requirements & Solutioning: Proven track record in gathering business requirements and translating them into robust SCD solutions.
• Testing & Transformation: Experience participating in system implementation, migration, upgrade, testing, and validation projects (including UAT and reconciliation testing).
• Problem Solving: Strong analytical abilities to troubleshoot complex data, valuation, and workflow issues within complex investment management environments.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively across Front Office, Middle Office, Operations, Risk, Accounting, and Technology teams.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate complex technical and financial concepts to business stakeholders.
