Role Description

Our client, an A-rated Insurance Carrier, is seeking to add a Senior Workers' Compensation Claims Examiner to their team. This is a fully remote position responsible for handling mid to complex Colorado Workers' Compensation Lost Time claims from inception through resolution. Qualified candidates must possess a strong working knowledge of Colorado Workers' Compensation laws and regulations.

• Handle moderate to complex Colorado Workers' Compensation Lost Time claims from inception through closure.
• Manage a pending inventory of approximately 90–120 claims.
• Negotiate settlements with injured workers, attorneys, and other involved parties.
• Conduct thorough claim investigations, retain and coordinate appropriate experts when necessary, and develop effective claim resolution strategies.
• Provide direction to defense counsel and oversee the litigation process on litigated claims.
• Attend mediations, settlement conferences, and other proceedings involving serious injury claims.

Qualifications

• 5–10+ years of Workers' Compensation claims handling experience.
• Strong knowledge of Colorado Workers' Compensation laws and regulations.
• Experience handling litigated Workers' Compensation claims.
• Excellent customer service, communication, and organizational skills.
• High School Diploma required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
