Role Description
Reporting to the Director of Engineering, the Senior Engineer is responsible for working within an engineering team to provide senior-level engineering leadership, input and support for the design, construction and commissioning of water treatment, remediation and reclamation projects.
Salary Range: $105,000 - $155,000 per annum
Key Responsibilities
- Provide senior-level engineering support for the design, construction, and commissioning of water treatment, mine water management, remediation and reclamation projects.
- Prepare study reports, engineering specifications, and contract documents.
- Review project documents and drawings for technical quality and accuracy.
- Prepare design work packages including scope, duration, and level of effort estimates.
- Prepare signed/sealed engineering deliverables as a Professional of Record (PoR).
- Support other engineering projects as part of the Ensero Engineering Team.
- Provide technical input to projects within your area(s) of expertise.
- Support risk analysis with project management.
- Work in collaboration with the business development team to participate in client meetings, and in the development of project proposals for existing and future customers.
- Build and maintain client relationships through ongoing communication and understanding of client goals.
- Travel to potential and existing work sites to interface with on-site staff, vendors, and customers.
- Monitor and promote system environmental health and worker safety compliance.
- Identify and recommend improvements to operations to ensure assigned functions are efficient and cost-effective.
- Manage special projects that support the broad-based needs of a rapidly expanding company.
- All other related duties as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Engineering degree in Chemical, Environmental or Process Engineering.
- Professional Engineering designation (P.Eng) required.
- 7+ years of engineering experience in industrial and mine water treatment projects.
- Familiarity with water treatment technologies and environmental regulations.
- Experience managing engineering design.
- Experience working in environmental consulting or project consulting settings.
- Computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent written and oral communication.
