Role Description

As a Senior Supplier Development Engineer here at Honeywell Aerospace, you will hold a critical role responsible for driving the optimization and improvement of our organization's supplier base. You will play a pivotal part in enhancing supplier performance, fostering innovation, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality products and services. In this role, you will impact our organization by leading and managing the supplier development team, providing guidance and support to drive continuous improvement and optimize the supply chain. You will report directly to our Senior Director Supplier Development Engineer, and you’ll work out of our South Bend, IN and/or Phoenix, AZ location on a remote work schedule.

You will utilize your expertise in engineering to deliver innovative solutions that meet the needs of our customers. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution and timely delivery of high-quality products.

In this role, you will have a significant impact on Honeywell Aerospace by driving the development and delivery of heat exchanger packs that meet customer requirements and industry standards. You will play a key role in ensuring the success of our projects and contributing to the growth of our business.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in supplier development, engineering, or a related leadership role.
• Proficiency in budget management and financial acumen.
• In-depth knowledge of supplier development strategies, supplier relationship management, and quality control.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and strategic planning abilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or advanced degree in engineering or a related field.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to drive change and influence stakeholders.
• Proven track record of delivering results.
• Experience in supplier development and supplier relationship management.
• Knowledge of industry best practices and emerging trends in supplier development.
• Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to aerospace.
• Strong working knowledge of Jira, Teamcenter, and SAP.
• Working knowledge of customer submittal process for Airbus, Boeing.
• Working knowledge of change processes, both internal and external.
• General knowledge of Packs and parts completed in Torrance.
• General knowledge of heat exchangers and valves.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.
