[Hiring] Supplier Quality & Development Professional @RTX

Role Description

Collins aerospace is looking to hire a Supplier Quality & Development Professional to join the Collins Global Supplier Quality Tiger Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing Supplier Quality & Development processes and/or projects as an individual contributor. Key responsibilities include:

• Manage supplier quality performance through prevention, monitoring/escalation processes, and processing of supplier submission of nonconforming material.
• Support supplier onboarding and qualification/certification.
• Manage source inspection and material release processes.
• Perform escape management procedures, drive root cause analysis & problem solving, and recommend corrective and preventive action for systemic supplier process and product materials.
• Proactively support RTX supplier programs to ensure healthy continuous improvement and sustainability.
• Analyze quality data to identify systemic issues and develop supplier-specific quality initiative strategies.
• Ensure that suppliers meet all contract requirements including Resourcing Gate, Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) acceptance, and Work Transfer implementation.

What Will You Do:

• Accountable for ensuring Business Continuity management methodology deployment at RTX suppliers.
• Establish projects to secure sustainability of quality @ rate and achieve supplier performance targets.
• Provide VoC (voice of the customer) to challenge existing supplier cultures/competencies.
• Identify supplier weaknesses, capabilities, capacities, and areas for improvement to enhance supply chain maturity and robustness.
• Deploy GSQ TT tool with suppliers to establish expedited and sustained recovery.
• Communicate/present recovery plans to key stakeholders, leadership, and customers.
• Seek opportunities to apply lessons learned to develop RTX supplier management processes and competencies.
• Define and manage Supplier Transformation Projects to achieve RTX expectations.
• Support Strategic Sourcing commodities in defining their supply chain strategies.
• Develop a quality mindset and continuous improvement to anticipate recurring supplier quality issues.
• May manage moderately sized projects or processes.
• Typically viewed as a subject-matter expert within the discipline.
• Analyze and make recommendations for supplier qualification/certification, assessment, monitoring, escape management, and quality issue resolution processes.
• Manage the analysis of quality data and development of part/supplier specific quality issue resolution and corrective actions.
• Provide research and guidance for root cause analysis & problem solving in escape management procedures.
• Manage processes and procedures for supplier qualification/certification, source inspection, and material release processes.
• Drive support for the RTX ZERO program to ensure healthy continuous improvement and sustainability.
• Review processes and metrics to ensure suppliers meet all requirements for work transfer and process change management.
• Travel is up to 75% domestically and internationally.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
• 8+ years professional experience in a supply chain operations environment (monitoring, auditing, developing suppliers/operations) or equivalent.
• Experience in Quality Regulations, Quality Core Tools Knowledge, Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP).
• Experience in QMS (AS 9100, ISO 9001).

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering/industrial engineering preferred.
• Practical Problem Solving, International Management experience.
• Experience in FAA, TC, EASA.
• Auditing/Assessing, Risk Management / Continuous Improvement (Lean Six Sigma) desirable.
• Desirable Green Belt/Black Belt certification & CPIM certification (Certified in Production & Inventory Management).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to establish a culture of improvement.
