[Hiring] Senior SAP S/4HANA Tax Consultant @Sidekick Network GmbH & Co. KG

Role Description

We are supporting a global S/4HANA transformation program for an international client. For the Finance & Tax stream, we are looking for an experienced SAP S/4HANA Finance & Tax Consultant to support ongoing deployment activities. This role plays a key part in ensuring high-quality delivery across international rollouts, with a strong focus on tax processes, compliance, and integration within complex system landscapes.

• Eligibility: EU-based candidates only
• Language: Fluent English (mandatory), German is a plus

This is a highly specialized Tax SME role. Only candidates with strong hands-on tax and tax engine experience will be considered.

Tasks:

• Support the Finance Deployment Stream within the S/4HANA program as a Finance/Tax process specialist
• Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Finance and Tax processes across all project phases
• Drive and support deployment activities throughout the full rollout lifecycle (fit-gap, design, build, test, go-live, hypercare)
• Ensure alignment and coordination across parallel rollouts and workstreams
• Analyze, optimize, and safeguard business processes with a focus on efficiency and compliance
• Lead process alignment and solution design workshops with business stakeholders
• Ensure adherence to global template standards and governance
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Finance, Tax, IT, Business) to ensure end-to-end integration
• Support the implementation and optimization of tax-related processes, including determination, reporting, and compliance
• Contribute to digital compliance initiatives such as e-invoicing and statutory reporting

Qualifications

• 8+ years of SAP FI consulting experience with a strong hands-on focus on Tax (Indirect Tax)
• Proven hands-on experience with tax engines (OneSource or Vertex)
• Practical project experience with US indirect taxation (not only exposure)
• Deep expertise in SAP Tax (EU & global), including Indirect Taxes, WHT, CIT, SAP DRC, and country-specific localizations
• Strong knowledge of EU VAT directives and compliance
• Strong understanding of e-invoicing, e-reporting, and digital tax compliance frameworks
• Proven experience in international, multi-country S/4HANA rollouts
• Experience acting as Lead Consultant or Tax SME in complex transformation programs
• Strong experience in tax process design and tax determination logic
• Strong knowledge of end-to-end Finance & Controlling processes and tax-relevant integration points (FI, SD, MM)
