[Hiring] Senior Manager, Environmental Health & Safety @CrowdStrike

Role Description

As the Senior Manager, Environmental Health & Safety – EMEA, you will lead the implementation and continuous improvement of CrowdStrike’s EHS program across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Based in Spain, you will also lead and administer CrowdStrike’s Internal Prevention Service (Servicio de Prevención Propio) while managing regional risk, compliance and program performance across our offices, remote workforce, TechOps, technology infrastructure and other business activities.

This is a hands-on regional leadership role focused on integrating EHS into business planning and operations across EMEA. You will build trusted relationships across teams, influence decisions, and translate complex technical and regulatory requirements into practical, scalable solutions that protect our people and enable the business. This role is currently an individual contributor role, but may evolve into people leadership.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead the EMEA EHS Program:
  • Translate CrowdStrike’s global EHS strategy, standards and objectives into a practical regional roadmap and country-level programs.
  • Advise leaders on emerging risks, regulatory developments and program priorities while balancing global consistency with local requirements.
• Lead the Internal Prevention Service in Spain:
  • Manage the governance, activities, documentation and continuous improvement of the Internal Prevention Service.
  • Coordinate risk assessments, preventive planning, employee training and consultation, occupational health activities and accredited external prevention providers.
• Manage Regional Risk, Compliance and Readiness:
  • Oversee risk assessments, audits, inspections, incident investigations, corrective actions and emergency-preparedness programs.
  • Support EHS across workplace projects, TechOps and technology infrastructure, contractors, events, business expansion and acquisitions.
  • Participate in the response to significant EHS incidents and the regional on-call rotation.
• Build Engagement and Business Partnerships:
  • Develop strong relationships with regional leadership, GREWS, HR, Employment Legal, TechOps, Global Security, Business Resilience, employee representatives and other partners.
  • Communicate EHS in a clear and compelling way that strengthens understanding, ownership and alignment across the business.
• Manage Performance, Resources and Innovation:
  • Own the regional EHS budget, forecasting, vendors, consultants, performance measures and leadership reporting.
  • Identify and responsibly integrate AI and automation into EHS workflows, analysis, training, employee resources, compliance tracking and reporting to improve program efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Typically 5–10 years of progressive EHS experience, preferably within a global, multi-country or multi-site organization.
• A university degree and university-accredited qualification legally recognized in Spain to perform higher-level occupational risk-prevention functions (funciones de nivel superior) under applicable Spanish law, such as a Máster en Prevención de Riesgos Laborales or recognized legacy equivalent.
• Higher-level qualification covering Seguridad en el Trabajo and Ergonomía y Psicosociología Aplicada is required; Higiene Industrial is strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated experience leading or operating an Internal Prevention Service in Spain and coordinating with accredited external prevention providers.
• Strong working knowledge of Spanish occupational risk-prevention requirements, European Union EHS requirements and their practical application across EMEA.
• Proven ability to build trusted relationships, influence decisions and communicate effectively with employees, technical specialists and senior leaders.
• Experience developing and implementing EHS programs, overseeing risk assessments and audits, investigating incidents, managing corrective actions and supporting emergency readiness.
• Experience managing regional budgets, vendors, consultants, program metrics and leadership reporting.
• Proven experience utilizing AI technologies to enhance decision-making, streamline workflows and processes, improve efficiency and drive business outcomes.
• Professional fluency in both Spanish and English. Additional EMEA language capabilities are an advantage.
• Ability to travel up to 25% of the time, primarily within EMEA, and participate in an incident-response on-call rotation.

Bonus Points:

• EHS experience supporting data centers, hardware integration facilities or other critical technology infrastructure.
• Familiarity with operational risks and controls relevant to these environments, including electrical safety, hazardous energy control, material handling, ergonomics, noise, contractor safety and emergency preparedness.
• Experience within a technology company or another fast-paced, geographically dispersed organization.
• Familiarity with ISO 45001-aligned EHS management systems.
• Additional recognized professional qualifications or designations, such as the NEBOSH, Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Chartered Member of IOSH (CMIOSH) or an equivalent credential.
