[Hiring] Senior Loss Control Advisor @Gallagher

Role Description

The Senior Loss Control Advisor will be the lead consultant for and provide consultative loss control services to assigned customers as well as JPAs in accordance with the department’s guidelines.

• Be the lead point of contact for LC services to assigned customers.
• Perform on-site Property/Liability and Employee Safety (WC) inspections of client facilities to identify and evaluate hazardous conditions and make recommendations for corrective measures.
• Review the existence of required safety programs to assess their compliance and functional effectiveness, assisting customers with the writing of the programs identified as deficient.
• Provide services under a client’s Rent a Safety Professional, not noted elsewhere in this job description.
• Provide safety training classes and presentations (as approved by Director) up to the JPA level.
• Advise clients on safety, compliance, and risk management matters.
• Assist clients with the development and implementation of risk management best practices.
• Conduct ergonomic evaluations, accident investigations, or specific hazard assessments (as approved by Director).
• Complete an analysis of client and JPA losses and present action plans focused on negative loss trends.
• Inform Districts of any changes in safety regulations and distribute safety-related bulletins to them.
• Assist in the development of client resources and correspondences.
• Support JPA level loss control initiatives.
• Communicate effectively with other internal departments on customer strategy issues.
• Complete reports that meet department guidelines and comply with established department turnaround times.
• Comply with department’s product delivery and follow-up guidelines.
• Stay informed about contractual obligations (up to the JPA level); track service plans and ensure status is updated on R drive.
• All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Required: Bachelor's degree or commensurate experience; 5 years' related experience in Safety, Risk, or Insurance.
• Ability to obtain appropriate licenses in all states where business is conducted.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Moderate travel required, including some overnight travel.
• Ability to travel by automobile and aircraft and work outside normal business hours as required.
• Ability to perform work on varied customer properties; entails negotiating non-public access areas, climbing, lifting, sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods of time.

Requirements

• Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Occupational or Industrial Safety, Fire Protection, Risk Management preferred; and certifications or ability to achieve within the first 18 months.
• Preferred: Associate in Risk Management (ARM), Associate in Safety Professional (ASP), Certified Safety Professional (CSP).
