[Hiring] Senior Liability Adjuster @HDVI

Role Description

As a Senior Liability Adjuster, you will work closely with HDVI’s Claims and Fleet Services Teams. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of handling all aspects of Commercial Trucking claims inclusive of but not limited to:

• Third Party Bodily Injury
• Third Party Auto Property Damage
• First Party Auto Property Damage
• Cargo
• Truckers General Liability
• First Party Medical

You will be responsible for influencing and providing claim resolution and tactical guidance to both internal and external customers in order to achieve world class claims outcomes.

What You'll Do

• Independently investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and resolve complex commercial auto liability claims.
• Conduct comprehensive coverage, liability, causation, damages, and exposure investigations.
• Manage high-exposure and large-loss claims proactively.
• Evaluate complex bodily injury damages and establish appropriate reserves.
• Negotiate complex settlements and drive effective claim resolution.
• Manage litigated claims and defense counsel strategy.
• Participate in large-loss reviews, severity roundtables, and claim strategy discussions.
• Serve as a senior technical resource, mentor, and escalation point.
• Maintain proactive communication, comprehensive documentation, and regulatory compliance.
• Effectively manage a complex claim inventory with a high degree of independent judgment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial auto liability claims experience.
• College education or an equivalent combination of education and relevant claims experience preferred.
• Active Adjuster’s License and the ability to obtain and maintain all required state licenses.
• Advanced knowledge of commercial auto claims.
• Demonstrated experience managing large-loss and high-exposure claims.
• Strong bodily injury evaluation capabilities.
• Strong litigation, negotiation, and vendor-management experience.
• Experience handling complex commercial trucking exposures.
• Strong reserving, analytical, critical-thinking, problem-solving, and independent decision-making skills.
• Demonstrated senior-level communication, organization, and leadership capabilities.
• Strong internal and external customer focus and technology proficiency.
