In the role, you will:

• Be a decision maker.

• Analyze medical, financial, and other claim documents.

• Provide accurate claims decisions in a time sensitive and fast-paced environment, while adhering to all state and department of insurance regulations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years insurance claim handling experience (Individual Disability Claims).
• A college or university degree, or high school diploma with extensive prior relevant work experience.
• Demonstrated understanding of claim management techniques and critical thinking requiring analysis and/or investigation.
• Experience providing outstanding customer service.
• Attention to detail with demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated experience prioritizing competing priorities with deadlines.
• Negotiating skills, solution strategies and ability to apply appropriate resources.
• Solid understanding of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Requirements

• This position offers the opportunity to work remotely.
• While this position can be fully remote, the primary office location for this group is Pittsfield, MA.
• Occasional travel to meet business needs will be required.
