Role Description

nCino is hiring a Senior Functional Consultant to lead delivery of its commercial banking solutions at community and regional financial institutions. This role calls for real commercial lending experience, since the consultant advises clients on lending best practices using nCino and stays current on banking regulations. Day to day, the consultant leads projects, turns business requirements into functional designs, partners with technical teams, and runs product demos for client teams. The consultant also keeps stakeholders, from executives to end users, aligned through status updates and risk assessments.

• Serve as the primary liaison between clients and the technical team, translating business requirements into solution designs and detailed functional specifications to drive measurable business value within the scope of the project.
• Utilize knowledge of the banking industry and nCino best practices to offer strategic consulting to customers.
• Identify innovative and efficient solutions to complex problems, enhancing the value and impact of nCino implementations.
• Demonstrate expertise in the nCino product, including its technical functionality and high-level data model.
• Drive the vision and adoption of nCino across financial institutions (FIs) by fostering relationships with key stakeholders at all levels.
• Provide comprehensive project status updates and risk assessments to peers and senior management.
• Deliver clear, actionable insights that facilitate informed decision-making.
• Utilize project management tools and methodologies to track progress and manage resources effectively.
• Apply a thorough understanding of agile principles and nCino project methodology to ensure adherence to best practices.
• Serve as the primary contact and advisor for SI partners delivering nCino solutions.
• Conduct regular status meetings with the project team to review progress, prioritize tasks, and address any issues.
• Provide training, support, and guidance to end-users, ensuring they are equipped to effectively utilize the software solution.
• Leverage AI tools and techniques to enhance work efficiency and optimize business operations.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Management, Information Technology) or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of professional experience in banking or a related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Proven ability to manage complex tasks with precision, leveraging strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
• Communicates effectively across all levels, translating complex information into clear, audience-appropriate messaging.
• Successfully leads projects with minimal oversight, demonstrating initiative while appropriately escalating issues when needed.
• Builds credibility and influence through transparent communication, collaborative engagement, and consistent follow-through.
• Actively supports organizational change by identifying opportunities for improvement and constructively challenging existing processes.

Requirements

Benefits

• The pay range for this role is based on relative market data and alignment with our compensation philosophy.
• The base salary range for this job is: $81,600 — $138,700 USD.
