[Hiring] Senior Forensics & Vulnerability Analysis Engineer @Quevera LLC

Role Description

This position requires a skilled expert with more than eight years of experience in forensic analysis, vulnerability assessment, and reverse engineering of systems and embedded devices. You will lead hands-on technical investigations, analyze complex systems, expose undocumented features, and develop custom tools and scripts to support mission-critical assessments. Your work directly contributes to high-impact national security missions and advances Quevera’s capabilities in emerging threat analysis.

• Serve as a senior technical expert for digital forensics, embedded systems analysis, and vulnerability assessment
• Perform in-depth reverse engineering of systems, firmware, and hardware components to identify vulnerabilities, undocumented functionality, and misconfigurations
• Utilize hardware analysis interfaces such as JTAG, UART, and SPI to extract data, manipulate device behavior, and support device emulation
• Conduct forensic imaging and analysis using tools like FTK and EnCase, including recovery of deleted, encrypted, or obfuscated data from various storage media
• Develop custom scripts, hardware setups, and testing harnesses for vulnerability analysis, fault injection, and exploit reproduction
• Collaborate with mission teams to deliver reports, technical findings, and actionable recommendations for remediation and modernization
• Support lab testing, prototyping, and validation of vulnerability research tools
• Provide expert consultation and knowledge transfer to government stakeholders and engineering teams
• Ensure all work is executed in accordance with security, compliance, and classified handling requirements

Qualifications

• Eight or more years of hands-on experience as a Subject Matter Expert in forensic analysis, vulnerability assessment, or embedded system reverse engineering
• Proficiency with reverse-engineering hardware interfaces such as JTAG, UART, SPI, I2C, and similar protocols
• Experience using forensic tools such as FTK, EnCase, Autopsy, or Sleuth Kit for imaging, acquisition, and deep analysis
• Strong background in recovering deleted, hidden, or encrypted data from file systems and embedded storage
• Demonstrated ability to build custom scripts, hardware test environments, and prototypes for vulnerability assessment or fault injection
• Solid understanding of low-level systems, firmware behavior, and embedded device architectures
• Active TS/SCI clearance at time of proposal submission
