[Hiring] Senior Estimator @Cross Resource Group

Role Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator with a strong background in commercial architectural metal and glass projects. This individual will lead the estimating and bidding process for complex, high-end projects, working closely with clients, vendors, and internal preconstruction teams. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience preparing detailed estimates, managing competitive bids, building client relationships, and successfully securing new projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage bids from RFP through submission, negotiation, and contract award.
• Prepare detailed material, labor, equipment, and logistics takeoffs.
• Develop accurate and competitive project pricing.
• Issue RFIs to clients and RFQs to vendors.
• Review project schedules, logistics plans, drawings, and specifications.
• Track active bids, follow up on proposals, and prepare revisions.
• Prepare level sheets and Best & Final Offers.
• Review other estimators' bids when assigned as Bid Lead.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through regular communication and in-person meetings.
• Collaborate with internal and external preconstruction teams.
• Negotiate bids and help secure new business.
• Coordinate vendor pricing and qualifications.
• Lead estimating-to-project-management kickoff meetings for awarded projects.
• Verify contract scope and terms align with negotiated agreements.
• Finalize bid documents, takeoffs, and estimating packages.
• Notify vendors of awards and coordinate handoff to project managers.
• Support project management teams with contract disputes and change orders.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of recent commercial architectural metal and glass estimating experience, including interior and exterior projects.
• Extensive experience with detailed material, labor, equipment, and logistics takeoffs.
• Strong ability to interpret architectural, structural, and shop drawings.
• Knowledge of construction specifications, installation requirements, and design intent.
• Proven success winning projects through competitive bids and client relationships.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong technical, organizational, and collaboration skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
