Role Description

Intermountain Electric Inc. (IME) is seeking a Lead Estimator to join their growing team!

The Lead Estimator will play a crucial role in our pre-construction process, responsible for accurately estimating the costs of electrical projects. This role involves:

• Analyzing project blueprints, specifications, and other relevant documents.
• Preparing comprehensive cost estimates.
• Evaluating and estimating resources, time, and costs associated with different processes.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Developing detailed estimates to support project planning and execution.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in electrical estimating, strong analytical skills, and the ability to lead and mentor junior estimators.

• Advanced ability in computer systems including Accubid Live Count, BlueBeam, CRM, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Advanced knowledge of estimating techniques, metrics, and systems.
• Ability to prepare complex proposals with minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations and codes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or Associate’s degree in a relevant field or a combination of relevant experience.
• 10+ years experience in the construction industry with strong electrical estimating experience.
• Field experience is a plus.
• Experience leading a team (Preferred).
