[Hiring] Senior Engineer I or II - Energy Efficiency @Cascade Energy

Role Description

We are seeking a Senior Engineer I or Senior Engineer II with Energy Efficiency and Retro-commissioning (RCx) experience. In this role, you will engage with our clients at a high level to assess their operations, identify opportunities, and provide recommendations to maximize energy efficiency and performance in industrial and/or commercial facilities. The Sr. Engineer I / II takes the lead to consult, gather data, create optimization models of industrial systems and write feasibility reports for energy efficiency projects, while leading overall management of projects. The Sr. Engineer I / II will also provide mentorship and contribute to peer support and quality control review.

What You Will Be Doing

• Lead and manage high-profile energy projects, maintaining accountability and mentoring peers through technical discussions and work review.
• Quantify energy savings from system/equipment changes using established tools, spreadsheets, and accepted methodologies.
• Visit industrial facilities to understand operations, identify energy-efficiency opportunities, provide recommendations, and uncover new work with existing/new clients.
• Present complex technical topics clearly to diverse audiences to build understanding and drive consensus.
• Collect/document performance data (including data logging), write energy-efficiency project reports, and maintain expertise in utility programs and compliance requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, or related field of study.
• 5 or more years of engineering experience in energy.
• Expert technical knowledge of refrigeration, compressed air systems, steam systems, custom computer modeling of systems, electrical distribution system design, industrial control, and data-logging of system results.
• Experience in energy efficiency in commercial and/or industrial facilities.
• Experience doing retro-commissioning (RCx).
• Experience with Strategic Energy Management (SEM).

Preferred Characteristics

• Strong critical thinking, problem solving, and decision-making skills demonstrated by educational/professional experience.
• Strong Project Management experience.

Compensation & Benefits

• Full salary range for this full-time, exempt position as a National Average for a Senior Engineer I is: $96,800 (min) - $121,000 (mid) - $145,200 (max).
• National Average for a Senior Engineer II is: $121,000 (min) - $151,300 (mid) - $181,600 (max) with final salary dependent on location of candidate.
