Role Description

This role involves leading and managing multiple direct reports with advanced degrees and effectively leading multiple, diverse projects.

Key contributor to overall EMEA strategy and active member of the EMEA leadership team.
Refine and drive EMEA medical affairs strategy in alignment with global medical affairs.
Facilitate and play a leadership role in the promotion of emerging clinical trial data.
Engagement with external stakeholders including KOLs through presentations, discussions, and face-to-face meetings.
Provide medical and educational leadership and support to EMEA teams including Marketing, Market Access, Scientific Affairs, Training, Sales, and Technical Support.
Develop educational tools and clinical messaging for various audiences including patients, nurses, diabetes educators, primary care providers, and specialists.
Collaborate with global medical affairs, EMEA and US Marketing, Product, Regulatory, Legal, Clinical Affairs, Compliance and Quality, Customer Support, and Field Sales.
Collaborate with the Integrated Evidence Planning team to identify evidence gaps and work with clinical affairs on clinical trial design.
Oversee investigator-initiated studies in EMEA.

Qualifications

Extensive experience in the education and treatment of patients with diabetes.
Expertise in the use of CGM as a diabetes management tool.
Proven leader with experience leading teams within a global organization.
Strategic thinker with outstanding communication skills.
Organized with high attention to detail and proven ability to independently drive projects to execution.
Fluent in English with the ability to convey complex information effectively.
Further foreign language skills are an advantage.
Experience working in matrixed organizations.

Requirements

MD (diabetology or endocrinology preferred) or PhD in sciences with proven CGM expertise.
17 years of industry experience, preferably in the medical device or pharmaceutical industry.
13+ years of successful leadership experience in the relevant industry.
