[Hiring] Senior Construction Consultant @McLarens

Role Description

Halliwell is looking for an experienced Senior Construction Consultant to add to our growing and collaborative team of property loss investigative experts. Our Senior Construction Consultants are responsible for:

• Assessing building damage
• Developing repair protocols
• Estimating costs
• Facilitating and leading field inspections of all construction disciplines
• Preparing technical reports
• Communicating with clients
• Participating in local business development client events

Qualifications

• 5+ years assessing building damage (particularly after hurricanes, tornadoes, flood, fire, hail, etc.)
• 1+ years of project management experience
• Active and proven insurance industry relationships
• Strong analytical and writing skills
• Excellent communication and people skills

Requirements

• Capable of technical field inspections across all disciplines (complex residential, multifamily, commercial, and industrial facilities) using state-of-the-art equipment and software
• High-level communication skills with clients and project representatives
• Estimating using Xactimate, RS Means, Cotality, and other estimating software
• Medium to High exposure ROM development
• Medium to complex technical reports
• Analyzation of mitigation invoices, contractor estimates, expert reports, and other industry documents
• Participate in local business development client events
• Maintain client relationships
• Travel required for local, regional, and national business client assignments, including CAT response when needed
• Ability to conduct on-site inspections in the field, including examination of damaged structures in various environments
• Ability to climb ladders, inspect roofs and crawlspaces, work in extreme conditions
• Ideal candidate will have previous litigation support experience (i.e. deposition, testimony) as well as appraisal/umpire experience
• Must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment
