Role Description

The Senior Business Operations Analyst plays a pivotal role in the Business Operations Group by ensuring that our business systems are optimized to support all financial and business functions.

Serve as the primary administrator for Deltek Vantagepoint, with a laser focus on maintaining financial data accuracy, generating insightful reports, and driving system optimization to support financial and accounting operations.
Partner directly with accounting and finance teams to redesign workflows, improve reporting accuracy, and safeguard data integrity.
Lead change management initiatives by steering system upgrades, data migrations, and integrations - ensuring that enhancements align with compliance and financial controls.
Develop custom financial reports and dashboards that assist in month-end closing, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning.
Translate business needs into actionable project plans, collaborating with multiple teams - including finance, operations, and IT - to implement system enhancements and process improvements.
Execute comprehensive test plans for system upgrades, patches, and new implementations, ensuring minimal disruption and maximum benefit.
Act as the escalation point for complex system challenges, delivering timely resolutions and proactive solutions.
Mentor junior team members, sharing financial systems expertise and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Provide training and guidance to end users to boost proficiency and adoption of financial systems.
Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies that can drive financial performance and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience is preferred.
Proven hands-on experience with Deltek Vantagepoint (or Vision) is a must.
Demonstrated success in change management, project execution, and collaboration across multi-disciplinary teams.
Advanced skills in financial reporting and analysis, with the ability to translate complex business needs into technical and operational solutions.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial operations, including billing, invoicing, and financial reporting.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Experience with reporting tools and data visualization platforms.

Requirements

Physical Requirements

This job operates in a remote or office-based environment and this role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, etc.
This job requires occasional project site visits-based outdoors which can include excessive noise, uneven walking surfaces, extreme weather, moving vehicles and equipment.
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met in order to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
This job requires working on a computer, sitting or standing for long periods of time in an office or remote office setting.

Proposed Salary Range

$80,000-$112,000 annually*
*Final agreed upon compensation will be based on a variety of factors including but not limited to an individual’s related experience, education, certifications, skills, and work location.
