[Hiring] SAP Payroll Support Consultant @Strada Global

Role Description

Here lies an opportunity for an experienced SAP HCM Payroll Consultant to join a leading, internationally focused business in global payroll and human capital management professional services. Sitting within our UK and Ireland Consulting Practice for SAP Professional Services, you will provide critical AMS support to some of the most valued payroll customers. Over time, you will also be offered the opportunity to grow your career by cross-training into a Functional Consultant role, gaining exposure to SuccessFactors and the opportunity of a SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP) certification.

Role Responsibilities

• Providing application support consultancy through advice, guidance, and appropriate technical activities.
• Managing tickets after having received functional analysis and guidance/coaching on the technical way to implement IT applications.
• Providing documentation (both technical and functional) on issues handled.
• Managing personal daily priorities and assigned tickets, ensuring deadlines are met and regularly reporting on status and progress to the AMS Cluster Lead.
• Maintaining internal and external contact and communication channels at appropriate levels, communicating status, resolution, and root cause of assigned issues.
• Understanding the general flows in HR and the SAP HR architecture.

Main Responsibilities

• Design and deliver high-quality solutions through system configuration that meets overall business requirements.
• Perform configuration for HCM modules of HR: Payroll (evaluation & schemas).
• Act as the HR Services lead for SAP Payroll Management development, defect identification, and defect resolution.
• Analyze payroll/time schemas to identify root cause and solution of pay & time discrepancies.
• Resolve complex defects related to Overtime, social security calculation, legal reporting, allowances, sickness, taxes, posting, payslips, and other specific UK payroll configurations.
• Participate in SAP HR projects as an integral part of a cross-functional team to support the delivery of HR Services.
• Ensure time and attendance data integrity.
• Must have hands-on experience on UK Payroll – Schemas, PCRs, wage type creation, basic pay configuration, etc.
• Troubleshoot and resolve HCM & Payroll problems/failures for both external and internal customers and update ticket logging systems in a timely and accurate manner.
• Generate easy-to-maintain bug-free code and customizing respecting Strada best practices.
• Operate required system tests using either provided or self-generated test data.

Consulting Role - Solution Design

• Support the required workshops as laid out by the methodology, ensuring all decisions are accurately captured and recorded in relevant workbooks.
• Undertake configuration as per the agreed design and direction of ECP Lead Consultant.
• Define and document the overall configuration of the SuccessFactors module(s), balancing business, technical, and functional requirements and constraints.
• Ensure successful transition to maintenance teams at the end of the project, either Strada or other.
• Support project resources in defining solutions in the event that a challenge arises during delivery to ensure that delivery is on time and within budget.

Data Migration

• Organize and support the data mapping with client and implementation teams (Strada or Third Party Providers).
• Ensure the client fulfills their responsibilities in terms of data management, particularly with their data cleansing and data transformation.
• Be familiar with data security procedures and requirements of both Strada and the client and ensure these are respected as part of the process.

Integrations

• Support the Technical resources in the definition of integration requirements.
• Support in the delivery of integration solution workshops to clients and the completion of required documentation.

Test Activities

• Carry out agreed Strada Testing and ensure all agreed issues are corrected prior to customer testing.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of payroll processes, systems, and legislation in the UK.
• Maintenance, troubleshooting, configuration, and support of SAP Payroll systems (SAP HCM or ECP).
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• An ability to build rapport with stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Passion for implementing and improving payroll systems.
• Payroll systems knowledge and experience (SuccessFactors ECP is a plus).
• Systems implementation experience beneficial.
• Appetite to become a subject-matter expert on SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP) modules.
