Role Description

The SAP Materials Management (MM) Analyst III is responsible for SAP Materials Management (MM) configuration and support within an SAP S/4HANA environment, covering procurement, inventory management, material valuation, and the physical and financial controls over inventory and operating materials and supplies, in support of a large-scale, greenfield SAP S/4HANA financial management modernization program for a Department of War (DoW) organization. The analyst independently owns assigned configuration scope, leads workshops for that scope, and resolves moderately complex integration and valuation issues spanning materials management, finance, and asset accounting.

This position operates at Level III of the C5MI job architecture and contributes to delivery across a five-gate milestone structure spanning:

• Pre-design approval
• Preliminary design review
• Critical design review
• Production readiness review
• Closeout

Note: This position is contingent upon contract award.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
• 3-5 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or 5-7 years of relevant experience without a Bachelor’s degree
• 3+ years of SAP Materials Management functional experience
• Demonstrated experience with material master, business partner (vendor) master, source determination, purchasing documents, release strategies, and physical inventory
• Working knowledge of inventory valuation and automatic account determination
• Experience with integration across materials management, finance, controlling, and asset accounting
• Secret security clearance required

Requirements

• Configures and owns assigned SAP S/4HANA Materials Management scope across procurement, inventory management, material valuation, and physical inventory processes
• Designs and configures material master and business partner data structures
• Configures and troubleshoots inventory valuation and account determination
• Designs release strategies, approval workflows, and purchasing document controls
• Owns integration design between materials management and finance
• Supports design of inventory and operating materials and supplies valuation
• Handles moderately complex configuration and design work with minimal oversight
• Leads requirements gathering sessions and fit-to-standard workshops
• Owns assigned deliverables end to end
• Mentors junior team members informally
• Supports authority to operate, cybersecurity, audit, and compliance activities
• Supports cutover, go-live, and post-deployment hypercare activities
• Travels to client sites up to 50%
• Adheres to all certified processes
• Performs other related tasks as assigned by direct supervisor
