Role Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SAP HANA Cloud & DataSphere Migration Specialist to lead and support the transition from Native SAP HANA environments to SAP HANA Cloud and from SAP BW to SAP DataSphere. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SAP HANA architecture, migration processes, cloud technologies, and integration with SAP BW and DataSphere.

Key Responsibilities

• Migration Strategy Development:
  • Develop migration strategies for moving from Native SAP HANA to SAP HANA Cloud.
  • Plan and implement the migration of data, applications, and workloads from SAP BW to SAP DataSphere.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure the migration aligns with business requirements and timelines.
• Execution of Migration Processes:
  • Perform the technical execution of migrating SAP HANA instances, databases, and models to SAP HANA Cloud.
  • Lead and oversee the migration of SAP BW data models, reports, and queries to SAP DataSphere.
  • Ensure minimal downtime and smooth transitions during migration.
• Cloud Integration:
  • Configure and integrate SAP HANA Cloud with other cloud-based services and SAP applications.
  • Collaborate with other teams for integrating SAP DataSphere with enterprise data sources and applications.
• Optimization and Performance Tuning:
  • Monitor and optimize the performance of migrated systems in the SAP HANA Cloud environment.
  • Leverage SAP HANA Cloud capabilities for cost optimization, scalability, and high availability.
  • Ensure that SAP DataSphere performance meets business demands for real-time analytics.
• Data Modeling and Transformation:
  • Design and implement data models in SAP HANA Cloud and SAP DataSphere.
  • Assist in transforming legacy SAP BW data models into new structures suitable for SAP DataSphere.
  • Collaborate with data engineers and analysts for efficient data processing and transformation.
• Documentation and Reporting:
  • Document migration processes, configurations, and system architecture for future reference.
  • Provide regular progress reports to stakeholders, highlighting key milestones, issues, and risks.
• Troubleshooting and Support:
  • Provide post-migration support to troubleshoot and resolve any issues arising after the migration.
  • Offer ongoing support for the SAP HANA Cloud environment and SAP DataSphere to ensure stable operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 5-7 years of hands-on experience working with SAP HANA and SAP BW.
• Experience with migrating SAP HANA to SAP HANA Cloud, including both data and application layers.
• Strong expertise in migrating SAP BW to SAP DataSphere, with a deep understanding of data modeling and analytics.
• Familiarity with cloud technologies, including SAP Cloud Platform, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Deep knowledge of SAP HANA architecture, performance tuning, and administration.
• Strong understanding of SAP BW data structures, ETL processes, and SAP DataSphere features.
• Experience with SAP HANA Cloud services and tools like SAP Data Intelligence, SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC).
• Proficiency in SQL, HANA SQLScript, and other related data manipulation languages.
• Familiarity with SAP Data Hub or SAP BW/4HANA is a plus.

Certifications

• SAP Certified Technology Associate - SAP HANA Cloud.
• SAP Certified Application Associate - SAP BW/4HANA or SAP DataSphere.
