Role Description

The Radiation Oncology IT consultant will provide specialized application and technical support for radiation oncology systems, including treatment planning, record-and-verify, and related clinical workflows. Responsibilities include:

  • Assessing and optimizing existing Radiation Oncology IT infrastructure and workflows.
  • Supporting ARIA/MOSAIQ, treatment planning systems, and ancillary applications.
  • Coordinating system integrations with the enterprise EHR.
  • Assisting with upgrades, configuration changes, testing, and issue resolution.
  • Ensuring continuity of clinical operations.
  • Working closely with physicians, physicists, therapists, nursing, and IT teams to troubleshoot issues, improve efficiency, support regulatory and billing requirements, and document workflows.

Under varying levels of direction and expertise, is responsible for the ongoing assessment, design, development, and implementation of corporate-wide clinical systems. Responsibilities include:

  • Collecting and transforming large quantities of information into meaningful business requirements.
  • Developing and modifying requirements documentation for the design and implementation of clinical information systems.
  • Critically evaluating information from various sources and partnering with business users, project managers, programmers, consultants, and IT leadership.
  • Managing stakeholder expectations.

General Tasks and Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Analyzing and documenting business requirements and processes.
  • Communicating requirements to technical personnel through the construction of basic conceptual data, process models, flowcharts, and technical specifications.
  • Interviewing end users, stakeholders, and project sponsors to assess business and clinical needs.
  • Creating business, functional, and technical requirements documents based on captured data.
  • Converting information gathered into details including data sources, data and user types, interface components, interface navigation needs, reporting needs, and administrative system needs.
  • Defining external interfaces, constraints, quality issues, and other non-functional requirements.
  • Providing project management team with identified risks, concerns, and ambiguities discovered during the gathering of requirements.
  • Partnering with project managers to complete requirements documentation in accordance with project schedule.
  • Planning, organizing, facilitating, and leading meetings and workgroups.
  • Ensuring software development team accounts for all defined requirements in coordination with quality assurance team.
  • Documenting changes to baseline requirements through standard change control process.
  • Documenting software test plans, technical requirements, release notes, user and training guidelines, and other materials.
  • Planning, coordinating, and supporting unit acceptance testing and subsequent deployments.
  • Performing end user and application support functions including problem solving and resolution of application function defects.
  • Developing and executing project presentations.
  • Participating in special projects as required.
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvements and providing analysis and proposals for change.

Qualifications

  • Must have experience with MOSAIQ and ARIA radiation oncology applications.
  • Must have application analyst experience.
  • Clinical experience (preferred).

Company Description

This is a Contract position based out of Philadelphia, PA. The pay range for this position is $85.00 - $105.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
