Role Description

We are sharing a specialised part-time consulting opportunity for professionals experienced in public sector administration, records review, government forms, operational documentation, case file interpretation, instruction-based task design, and structured evaluation. This role supports current and upcoming remote consulting opportunities focused on AI-assisted review of administrative records, public service documents, forms, tables, notices, workflows, and related visual materials. Selected professionals will create complex evaluation tasks using public sector-style documents, define clear expected answers, and develop objective rubrics for assessing response accuracy, instruction alignment, and document understanding.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administrative Document Task Development
    • Create complex tasks based on forms, records, notices, case files, applications, tables, workflow documents, and public service materials.
    • Define clear ground-truth answers, acceptable response criteria, and objective evaluation standards.
    • Develop prompts that test document interpretation, information extraction, procedural reasoning, data review, and careful instruction following.
    • Ensure each task is clearly scoped, realistic, and suitable for structured review workflows.
  • Public Sector Records Review
    • Evaluate AI-generated responses involving administrative documents, government-style forms, records, tables, notices, and process documentation.
    • Assess whether responses correctly interpret labels, fields, instructions, dates, eligibility details, status information, annotations, and document-specific requirements.
    • Identify missing details, incorrect interpretations, unsupported assumptions, weak reasoning, or inconsistencies in the response.
    • Review outputs against objective rubrics and project-specific quality standards.
  • Rubric Design & Quality Control
    • Develop clear rubrics that explain expected answers, grading criteria, and acceptable variations.
    • Provide structured written feedback on task quality, response accuracy, and evaluation consistency.
    • Apply detailed instructions carefully across administrative records, forms, and document-based review tasks.
    • Participate in onboarding, calibration, or domain alignment activities when required.

Qualifications

  • Professional experience in public administration, government operations, records management, case processing, compliance support, administrative review, or related back-office work.
  • Strong ability to interpret forms, notices, case files, applications, tables, procedural documents, and operational records.
  • Comfort working with precise instructions, objective criteria, and structured evaluation standards.
  • Strong written communication skills with the ability to explain task expectations and review decisions clearly.
  • High attention to detail when assessing accuracy, completeness, and instruction alignment.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote, project-based environment.
  • Consistency across repetitive, detail-oriented review and rubric-based evaluation tasks.

Educational Background

  • Academic or professional background in public administration, political science, policy, records management, business administration, legal studies, compliance, operations, or a related field is highly relevant.
  • Experience with administrative documents, case files, forms, public service records, benefits documentation, permitting materials, licensing records, or compliance paperwork may be especially valuable.
  • Training or professional experience involving document review, records processing, workflow interpretation, quality control, or procedural assessment is relevant.
  • Advanced administrative, operational, policy, compliance, or records-focused experience may support project fit depending on scope.

Nice to Have

  • Experience creating assessment tasks, training materials, documentation standards, process guides, or structured evaluation rubrics.
  • Familiarity with public service workflows, application review, eligibility documentation, licensing, permitting, benefits administration, or records processing.
  • Experience reviewing forms, tables, notices, case documentation, operational records, procedural instructions, or administrative datasets.
  • Comfort identifying ambiguity, missing information, unsupported assumptions, procedural inconsistencies, or interpretation errors.
  • Strong ability to design objective criteria for evaluating complex administrative or public sector document reasoning tasks.

Why This Opportunity

  • Apply public sector administration and records review expertise to structured remote project work.
  • Contribute to high-quality administrative document review, task development, and rubric-based evaluation.
  • Use document interpretation, procedural reasoning, and evaluation design skills in a focused project environment.
  • Work on flexible assignments aligned with records review, forms analysis, and structured assessment strengths.
  • Remote structure with competitive hourly compensation.

Contract Details

  • Independent contractor role.
  • Fully remote with flexible scheduling.
  • Eligible professionals may be based in approved project locations, including Canada and the United States, depending on project needs.
  • Part-time commitment, with an estimated 15–20 hours per week depending on project availability and onboarding status.
  • Competitive rates up to $40 per hour depending on expertise, administrative records background, task quality, and project scope.
  • Weekly payments via Stripe or Wise.
  • Projects may be extended, shortened, or adjusted depending on scope and performance.
  • Work will not involve access to confidential or proprietary information from any employer, client, or institution.
