SALARY: $125,000 - $130,000/Annually


OVERVIEW 

The Post Release Services (PRS) Director is responsible for overseeing and ensuring the effective administration of level 1 and level 2 post-release services to minors and their families. The PRS Director provides strategic oversight and determines the overall direction and goals for level 1 and level 2 service provision, ensures compliance with Applied Intellect and ORR requirements and policies governing the provision of services and maintains a high standard of care. The PRS Director identifies gaps in service and finds solutions to create efficiencies within program implementation. The PRS Director provides ongoing leadership, direction, development, coaching, counseling, oversight, and clinical guidance. 


ESSENTIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES  

Team Leadership and Supervision: 

  • Provide direct supervision and guidance to a team of Regional Supervisors who are responsible for the direct supervision of a team of Supervisors who provide direct oversight to a team of Level 1 and Level 2 case managers.
  • Set clear performance expectations, conduct regular performance reviews, and support professional development opportunities for team members.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative team environment that encourages innovation, growth, and a commitment to excellence in service delivery.
  • Address staff conduct and performance issues using an approach that prioritizes safety, builds connection, and supports self-regulation as core guiding principles.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with direct staff and colleagues rooted in safety, connection, and self-regulation.
  • Model and promote practices that emphasize trust-based, relationship-centered principles in decision-making, staff management, and collaboration across departments.

 Post Release Services Administration: 

  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and protocols for Level 1 and Level 2 post-release services, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and best practices.
  • Oversee the coordination and delivery of services to minors and their families, including educational support, mental health services, legal assistance, and community integration programs.
  • Collaborate with external service providers and community organizations to enhance the range and quality of post-release services available to minors.

 Program Evaluation and Improvement: 

  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of post-release services in achieving desired outcomes and meeting the needs of minors and their families.
  • Analyze data and feedback to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies for enhancing service delivery and outcomes.
  • Regularly assess program performance, identify trends, and implement necessary changes to ensure continuous improvement.

 Stakeholder Collaboration: 

  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, non-profit organizations, and community partners.
  • Participate in meetings, committees, and working groups to advocate for the needs of minors and their families. 
  • Represent Applied Intellect, Inc. (AI), in public forums, conferences, and other events.

 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS 

  • Master of Social Work or an equivalent advanced degree in a behavioral science (e.g., education, psychology, sociology) or social services field with progressive experience in the fields listed above.
  • In lieu of a Master of Social Work, a bachelor’s degree in education, psychology, sociology, or other relevant behavioral science plus 5 years of progressive employment experience with social services or childcare agency or organization.
  • A minimum of 3 years of Supervisory experience in a child welfare setting. 
  • Demonstrated understanding and experience with case management, home placements, and child welfare.
  • Excellent judgment and leadership ability; must be able to make independent decisions which ensure that outstanding services are being provided within necessary timeframes, and that the team and team members are complying with all required policies and procedures.
  • Ability to prioritize duties independently, think strategically, and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Maintain confidentiality of health care records and information in keeping with HIPAA and Protected Health Information (PHI) requirements.  
  • Participate in regular training and communication sessions utilizing Teams, Zoom or other platforms required for meeting with peers, supervisors, and headquarters staff. 
  • Submit bi-weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports timely as required by ORR and Applied Intellect.
  • Display professional conduct and ensure respectful interactions during any contact with children, sponsors, coworkers, supervisors, ORR representatives, and other vendors or community members. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software, including using Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams for maintaining contact with supervisors, coworkers, employees and to complete daily tasks.  
  • Candidate must demonstrate a commitment to comply with mandatory state reporting requirements for child abuse and neglect.  
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license, insurance, a clean driving record and reliable transportation (if required).
  • Successful completion of ORR/ACF’s Suitability Determination, a federal background check initiated upon employment (if required).  
  • The position is remote and requires an appropriate workspace to complete daily tasks and participate in video conferencing.
  • Demonstrated support of Applied Intellect’s values by exhibiting respect for others, maintaining confidential information and an appreciation of a multicultural workplace.  
  • Ensure compliance with a drug-free, tobacco-free and alcohol-free workplace. 
  • Support a harassment-free workplace. 
  • Fluency in Spanish is preferred.  
  • Must adhere to all state and federal laws and regulations. 
  • Must follow all company and Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) policies and procedures. 


TRAINING REQUIREMENTS  

  • Satisfactory completion of Applied Intellect’s Orientation and Training.  
  • Satisfactory completion of ORR required training prior to serving children and sponsors.
  • Complete additional training as identified by supervisor or Human Resources. 

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS  

  • Use of manual dexterity, tactile, visual, and audio acuity. 
  • Use of repetitive motion, prolonged periods of sitting and standing, and sustained visual and mental applications and demands. 
  • Occasional lifting (up to 25 pounds), bending, pulling, and carrying; and 
  • Quantitative/mathematical ability (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, standard measurements).
