[Hiring] Property Claims General Adjuster @FBL Financial Group, Inc.

Role Description

As a Property General Adjuster, you will:

• Investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and settle assigned claims involving property, farm owners, personal and commercial lines of insurance within an assigned local territory.
• Handle large losses across the state of Iowa.
• Investigate the cause of the loss, interpret the policy, determine coverage, subrogation, reserve values, and determine the value of the loss.
• Maintain a service-oriented attitude by fostering professional relationships with coworkers, supervisors, agents, agency managers, claimants, policyholders, engineers, restoration specialists, general contractors, attorneys, and others.

Qualifications

• College degree or equivalent is required.
• Experience is preferred.
• AIC, AINS and/or CPCU designations preferred.
• Xactimate - Level 1 & 2 certifications are preferred.
• Must live or reside in Western or Central Iowa.

Requirements

• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Must be able to work under all kinds of weather conditions and fully appraise all physical aspects of the property and buildings, which includes climbing on ladders.
• Occasional travel with overnight stays are possible.
• A valid driver’s license and satisfactory Motor Vehicle Records are required.
• Analytical, problem solving, organizational, and excellent communication skills required.
• Must keep up-to-date regarding legislation, statutes, rules, and regulations in your primary state.
