[Hiring] Product Technical Support Engineer @Johnson Controls

Role Description

Johnson Controls is hiring! Our Product Technical Support Engineer provides technical support to the Field Sales & Service organization, as well as our Data Center Accounts, across all chiller product offerings. This is a remote position for US based candidates!

• Provide day-to-day technical support for key Data Center Accounts to Field Sales & Service organization on a global basis via site visit, phone, fax, or email.
• Drive product reliability through the Continuous Improvement Process for both existing products and new products being introduced.
• Interact with quality management and engineering to improve overall life cycle cost.
• Create test plans to prove out new and/or existing product equipment offerings.
• Maintain effectiveness when experiencing changes in work responsibilities or environment.
• Explore benefits of changes, try new approaches, and collaborate with others to make changes successful.
• Create novel solutions with measurable value for existing and potential customers.
• Experiment with new ways to solve work problems and seize opportunities.
• Place a high priority on the internal or external customer’s perspective when making decisions.
• Implement service practices that meet the customers’ and own organization’s needs.
• Ensure others contribute to organization strategies and drive operational discipline.
• Identify and understand problems and opportunities by gathering, analyzing, and interpreting information.
• Choose the best course of action by establishing clear decision criteria and making timely decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related Technical/Scientific field required and 2+ years’ experience, or if no degree, 6+ years of technical experience with knowledge of HVAC&R products.
• Must be able to travel up to 10%.
• Analyze and solve complex product system problems.
• Proficient in troubleshooting the refrigeration cycle as applied to air-conditioning duty on Applied Equipment.

Requirements

• Salary Range: $90,000 - $130,000 (Salary to be determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant).
