Role Description
Mary’s Meals International is recruiting for an enthusiastic Procurement Officer to join our growing Procurement Team. Reporting to our Head of Procurement, you will play a critical role in assisting the Procurement Manager with end-to-end procurement processes, ensuring efficiency and compliance across our operations. You will bring your procurement and commercial expertise to support the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective procurement solutions that align with our core values. Your dedication to quality, stewardship, and ethical procurement practices will be essential in enabling us to reach more hungry children.
- Efficiently procure goods, services, and works while adhering to the Procurement Manual.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to coordinate tenders and meet key deadlines.
- Conduct detailed reviews of procurement reports to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Develop and draft procurement documentation, including tender documents and contracts.
- Support the roll-out and coordination of annual procurement plans.
- Manage a list of prequalified suppliers and support the pre-qualification process.
- Analyse procurement data and provide insights on supplier performance.
- Assist with contract negotiations and maintain up-to-date procurement records.
- Foster strong communication with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate across teams and in-country procurement teams to strengthen procurement controls and ensure data quality.
Qualifications
- A strong commitment to Mary’s Meals’ mission, vision, and values.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Minimum of 2 years practical experience, or equivalent, in procurement principles and supply chain management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Strong cultural sensitivity and the ability to work in diverse contexts.
- Relevant degree qualification or equivalent experience. CIPS qualification or steps toward certification would be beneficial.

- 34 days annual leave (pro-rated for part-time working patterns) including bank holidays, increasing by 1 day each completed calendar year, to a maximum of 39 days (+ option to buy another week).
