Role Description

We are seeking an organized and results-driven Remote Procurement Manager to oversee purchasing activities, supplier relationships, and procurement operations. This role is responsible for sourcing materials, equipment, and services, negotiating favorable terms, monitoring inventory requirements, and ensuring that operational teams have the resources needed to complete projects efficiently and cost-effectively.

The ideal candidate has strong negotiation, communication, analytical, and organizational skills, along with the ability to coordinate suppliers, manage purchasing processes, and work independently in a remote environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with company operations and budget requirements.
• Identify, evaluate, and select reliable suppliers, vendors, and service providers.
• Request and review quotations, proposals, and competitive bids.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and supplier agreements.
• Oversee purchasing of cleaning supplies, janitorial equipment, maintenance materials, and other operational resources.
• Monitor inventory requirements and coordinate replenishment with relevant operational teams.
• Review purchase requests and ensure orders meet operational specifications and budget guidelines.
• Prepare, issue, and track purchase orders using digital procurement systems.
• Maintain accurate electronic records of purchases, supplier information, contracts, and procurement documentation.
• Monitor supplier performance, product quality, delivery timelines, and service reliability.
• Identify opportunities to reduce purchasing costs without compromising quality.
• Coordinate virtually with operations, finance, project managers, and other departments to forecast purchasing needs.
• Resolve procurement-related issues, including delayed deliveries, incorrect orders, and product discrepancies.
• Prepare procurement reports and provide regular updates to management.
• Ensure purchasing activities comply with company policies and applicable regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Procurement, or a related field preferred.
• Previous experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain management, or vendor management.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-management skills.
• Knowledge of purchasing procedures, supplier evaluation, and inventory control.
• Ability to review quotations, compare costs, and assess supplier proposals.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and familiarity with procurement or inventory management software.
• Comfortable using video conferencing, email, and digital collaboration platforms.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and recordkeeping skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and meet deadlines in a remote setting.
