Role Description

The Probate Technical Liaison Support Specialist provides high-level professional, administrative, and technical leadership to the Bureau of Indian Affairs (IA). This role is instrumental in executing the Secretarial Priority regarding the Probate initiative and the modernization of the Trust Asset and Accounting Management System (TAAMS). This position serves as a strategic link between IA leadership, acquisition, budget, and technical offices to ensure the continuity of services for 1.9 million American Indian and Alaska Native individuals. The role focuses on technical assessments, acquisition planning, and coordinating complex IT modernization initiatives across the DOI enterprise.

Qualifications

• Technical Expertise: Significant experience with TAAMS or similar enterprise-level land, title, and trust management systems.
• Federal Acquisition Knowledge: Proven ability to navigate the full acquisition lifecycle, including conducting technical reviews and preparing transition documentation.
• Remote Management: Demonstrated experience managing a virtual/remote team within a federal environment while maintaining operational efficiency.
• Analytical Skills: Ability to conduct technical assessments and identify mitigation strategies for complex IT dependencies and risks.
• Communication: Exceptional skills in preparing executive-level briefings and coordinating between diverse technical and administrative departments.

Requirements

• Employment is contingent upon successfully passing a pre-employment drug test and a federal background investigation to obtain and maintain a Public Trust suitability determination with the Department of the Interior, Indian Affairs.
