Role Description

The purpose of this position is to provide an environment for promoting a high level of customer and employee satisfaction and accurate execution of tasks to support the customer both externally as well as in other areas of the IS Organization.

  • The Manager is responsible for helping develop the strategic plans for the IS organization.
  • Develops and implements the tactical plans for the Applications team.
  • Tracks and monitors the capital and operating budgets for the Applications team and their participation in projects and support.
  • Leads, mentors, and develops supervisors while maintaining the technical competency of the staff.
  • Ensures the daily operational readiness of the Applications Team.
  • Establishes and maintains long-term vendor relationships to define and drive the application strategy and roadmap.
  • Ensures application stability and a positive user experience.
  • Performs all duties in a manner that promotes team concept and high-quality customer interactions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business Management, Information Services, Engineering, or equivalent education/experience.
  • 5 years of information Services leadership experience.
  • 8 years total relevant experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to create and successfully execute strategic plans for highly complex issues.
  • Experience standardizing complex and disparate processes and methodologies related to application management.
  • Experience in process improvement methodology, change management, and operational improvement in complex systems.
  • Proven ability to interact at and communicate with all levels of an organization.
  • Organizational, interpersonal, and communications skills with the ability to manage shifting priorities.
  • 8 years of application design and/or implementation of large-scale Enterprise Resource Planning systems (like Oracle Applications).
  • ERP experience leading Information Services teams in 2 or more of the following applications and business processes: Enterprise Performance Management (EPBCS, HFM, DRM), Master Data Management (Chart of Accounts, Projects, Enterprise Finance Reporting).
