Role Description
This role involves leading Huron’s Office of the Chief Operating Officer’s team to enable the Education industry’s ability to deliver on its commitments to the Enterprise.
- Responsible for thinking strategically and providing leadership in identifying opportunities for growth, driving margin improvement, and executing practice operations consistent with Enterprise’s strategic direction and standards.
- Define and execute strong financial management strategies and practices, including oversight of financial planning, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
- Execute large-scale projects and drive complex operations, including comprehensive recurring business reviews and monitoring performance to plan.
- Model Huron’s Leadership Principles and Values, inspiring and motivating teams to achieve results.
- Lead the career development and day-to-day support tasks for OBPs/Financial Operations members aligned to Education Industry.
- Collaborate and support the activities of the OBP and Financial Operations team aligned to different service/solution lines within the Education Industry.
- Lead broadly across the Enterprise to define, plan, and implement new/revised processes consistent with the strategic direction of the Enterprise.
- Articulate complex ideas and strategies to a range of stakeholders across the industry segment.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience in an Operational/Financial Leadership role, ideally in a professional services organization.
- Experience successfully leading in a matrix environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and establish credibility with the senior team and all levels within the organization.
- Keen project management skills and the ability to deliver results via influence.
- Demonstrated leadership and experience working effectively within a highly matrixed environment across various functional areas.
- Bachelor’s degree ideally in business, finance, or accounting; advanced degree a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong executive presence with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Digitally fluent across a broad range of platforms (e.g. Workday, Power BI, Microsoft Office, etc.).
