[Hiring] Operations Lead Analyst @The Cigna Group

Role Description

The Operations Lead Analyst is responsible for overseeing day‑to‑day execution of BenOps workstreams, including:

• Benefit configuration
• Case execution
• Production support

Key responsibilities include:

• Ensuring all work is completed accurately and in compliance with SLAs, contractual obligations, and regulatory requirements.
• Proactively identifying operational risks, dependencies, and barriers.
• Escalating issues and recommending mitigation strategies as needed.
• Triage and resolve complex or high‑impact issues.
• Perform root‑cause analysis to address defects and rework.
• Serve as an escalation point for analysts and offshore or contingent resources.
• Drive process improvement and quality by identifying efficiency and standardization opportunities.
• Support SOPs and quality controls, ensuring compliance with applicable controls.
• Maintain strong stakeholder communication with regular updates to leadership.
• Collaborate closely with cross‑functional partners to support implementations, renewals, and change initiatives.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to the team.
• Support workload planning during peak periods.
• Model ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
• 3+ years of experience in operations, benefits operations, PBM, healthcare, or a related analytical role required.
• Prior experience in a lead, SME, or senior analyst capacity strongly preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of healthcare or PBM operations, with direct experience in benefits configuration or benefits operations preferred.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and root‑cause analysis skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to clearly articulate risks and recommendations to leadership.
• High attention to detail with the ability to think holistically about end‑to‑end processes.
• Identifies areas for improvement and initiates projects or programs.
• Increase productivity, quality, and effectiveness.
