[Hiring] Network Administrator @The Bison Group LLC

Role Description

In this role, the Network Administrator will be responsible for:

• Conduct approved network changes to include but not limited to VLan, ACL and port assignment.
• Perform IOS upgrades to routers and switches.
• Perform routing and switching equipment technology upgrades to ensure continued operations of the enterprise.
• Draft Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for network operations.
• Resolve systems failures and accessibility problems within the network to our services.
• Support site survey and engineering designs data calls.
• Support new/enhanced network implementation, installation, and technical refresh projects within a site or locale.
• Work independently with some supervision.
• In remote locations, function as independent engineering, maintenance, and network problem solving with minimal or intermittent input from other Tiers/locations.
• Employ creativity and ingenuity for new technical solutions applicable across the enterprise, drawing heavily on prior experience.
• Perform Network ticket resolution.
• Support Network ticket closure across Network Operations staff to include:
• Use administrative access to the network to provision new switches, routers, and Cryptographic devices.
• Research errors, incidents, problems and perform incident analysis and identify potential problems using administrative access to network components.
• Route Service Requests to the appropriate organization required for incident resolution.
• Perform root cause analyses.
• Complete problem resolutions associated with incident ticket(s).
• Review and implementation of Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).

Qualifications

• IAT II
• TS/SCI security clearance with ability to obtain a CI poly?
• Familiarity with both Cisco and Juniper network devices
• Strong working knowledge of the various routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, VRF, MPLS, 802.1x).
• In-depth knowledge of KG-175 Series TACLANES configuration process, fault isolation, and firmware upgrade procedures.
• Working knowledge of Cisco-ISE
• Minimum Education & Experience (One of the following):
• High School/GED + 9 Yrs
• Associates + 7 Yrs
• Bachelors + 5 Yrs
• Masters + 3 Yrs
• PhD + 1 Yrs

Requirements

The proposed salary range for this position is: $120,000 - $160,000

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
