[Hiring] National Oncology Sales Training Manager @Amgen

Role Description

In this high-impact role, you will lead a team of six Oncology Sales Training Managers and shape the New Hire and Advanced Training curricula for Amgen’s U.S. Oncology Business Unit. You’ll partner with brand and sales leaders across the portfolio to turn business priorities into innovative, engaging training for product launches, semester meetings, and regional initiatives including latest adult learning principles and evolving technologies.

• Lead a team of six Oncology Sales Training Managers.
• Shape the New Hire and Advanced Training curricula.
• Partner with brand and sales leaders to create engaging training.
• Set priorities across multiple projects and manage timelines.
• Build trusted partnerships and ensure training meets evolving needs.

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree and 2 years of training experience, or training and sales and/or marketing experience.
• Master’s degree and 6 years of training experience, or training and sales and/or marketing experience.
• Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of training experience, or training and sales and/or marketing experience.
• At least 2 years of experience directly managing people or leading teams, projects, or programs.
• Demonstrated understanding of the pharmaceutical or biotechnology sales landscape.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in training, sales, and/or marketing within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, or medical device industries.
• Oncology experience with an understanding of the U.S. oncology landscape.
• Ability to translate field sales and account management needs into focused training strategies.
• Experience leading, coaching, and developing staff to deliver on business priorities.
• Demonstrated success setting training goals and objectives with internal partners.
• Experience managing multiple projects and priorities while coordinating across cross-functional teams.
• Strong clinical understanding and the ability to apply it to curriculum development.
• Self-directed, detail-oriented approach with sound independent judgment.
• Strong communication, coaching, and selling skills.
