[Hiring] Mortgage Closer/Funder @Knock

Role Description

What You’ll Be Doing

• Prepare and send accurate Initial Closing Disclosures (ICDs) to borrowers — first impressions matter!
• Troubleshoot and resolve closing issues quickly, always keeping the customer experience front and center.
• Execute the transfer of lender funds so transactions close smoothly and on time.
• Review every detail of loan documents (sales price, loan amount, vesting, etc.) — no stone left unturned.
• Ensure everything complies with federal, state, and program guidelines.
• Partner with Loan Officers, Bridge Loan Specialists, Loan Assistants, and settlement teams to keep deals moving.
• Audit signed closing packages to guarantee accuracy before funds are released.
• Own your pipeline — manage 50–60 loans per month with precision and care.
• Be a mentor, collaborator, and knowledge-sharer — we grow together.
• Jump into special projects or support your team whenever needed — we’ve got each other’s backs.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of recent experience closing residential loans (cash-out refinance expertise = a huge plus!)
• You thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment — juggling 50–60 closings per month? You’ve got this.
• Details are your love language — you triple-check your work.
• You live for creating a “wow” experience for customers.
• You’re a proactive communicator — people never have to guess where things stand.
• You’re organized, self-motivated, and love working independently.
• Tech doesn’t intimidate you — you know your way around a LOS and other lending systems. We use Meridian Link.
• You’ve worked remotely before and can stay connected in a distributed team.

Bonus Points If You Have…

• Experience with additional lending platforms or tools.
• A passion for mentoring and sharing your expertise.
• Extra certifications or training in mortgage or compliance.

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required. (Higher education may be preferred based on candidate experience.)

Compensation and Benefits

• The base salary for this position is: $61,000- $66,000 USD + bonus.
• The actual offer will reflect the total compensation package & benefits, determined by factors including but not limited to years of experience, job level, geographic location, and other relevant business considerations.
