[Hiring] Mortgage Appraisal Support Specialist @FirstBank

Role Description

This position is remote, but candidates MUST live in the following states: TN, GA, AL, KY.

The Appraisal Support Specialist will be responsible for all aspects of the Appraisal Desk activities to include but not limited to:

• Management of appraisal orders and transfers
• Panel management
• AMC management and payment of invoices

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Daily review of pipeline orders to maintain accepted & cancelled orders in a timely manner, including a review of AIF notifications and e-mail requests from appraisers, processors, or lenders for specific items (e.g., revision requests, fee revision, etc.)
• Use of Appraisal Management Company (AMC) for appraisal assignment, upload, notification, and payment
• Arbitration of value disputes
• Manage panel of appraisers, including adding, deleting, and annual review of all appraisers for compliance with appraiser eligibility requirements
• Working knowledge of appraisal transfer process
• Use of Ascend as it relates to invoice submission & payment
• On-going education
• General knowledge of appraisal content
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or the equivalent
• 2+ years of experience in mortgage appraisal
