[Hiring] Mine Planning Consultant @Micromine

Role Description

Our Americas team is currently seeking a Mining Planning Consultant based in Belo Horizonte, Brazil. You will play a key support role for customers of our intuitive open-pit mine planning solution, Micromine Alastri. In this role you will be responsible for delivering high quality pre and post sales support activity, including:

• Technical product demonstrations
• Tenders
• Proof of concept model builds
• Software evaluation
• Training
• Implementations

Reporting directly to the Technical Services Manager- Mining, your key responsibilities will include:

• Assist the sales team by providing technical support during pre-sales demonstrations, trade shows, and other promotional events as requested
• Developing and maintaining long-term customer relationships
• Provide our clients with telephone, email and face to face support
• Provide training to current and new software users, which may take place at a client’s site or at a third-party venue such as a university computer laboratory
• BETA testing new versions and products, providing feedback, and assessing impacts on support procedures and documentation

Qualifications

• A tertiary qualification in Mine Engineering
• Experienced with Open Pit mining
• Experience with mine planning and/or scheduling
• Experience with mining software – preferably mine planning software
• The ability to travel, nationally or internationally, to manage Micromine Alastri implementations
• English (professional fluency) and Portuguese (native fluency) language skills
