[Hiring] Middle Payment Technical Manager @GR8_TECH

Role Description

What you’ll drive:

• Payment configuration & launch management:
  • Configure projects, MIDs, payment methods, gateways, and client requests in Back Office according to agreed priorities;
  • Review requirements and clarify missing information before starting configuration;
  • Use AI-assisted tools, such as Kiro, to prepare MID configuration tasks based on client requirements and provider documentation;
  • Perform pre-production and production checks using established checklists and attach supporting evidence to Jira tasks;
  • Coordinate testing with PSPs, local testers, and merchant teams;
  • Execute production launches and verify initial transactions after each launch.
• Technical troubleshooting & support:
  • Provide L3 support for configuration-related issues and resolve them within agreed SLAs;
  • Investigate issues using logs, API responses, transaction records, and SQL queries;
  • Validate API contracts, payloads, webhooks, and callbacks to identify configuration issues;
  • Escalate blockers, dependencies, and delivery risks to the Team Lead;
  • Support merchant teams in troubleshooting payment configuration issues.
• Process improvement & documentation:
  • Maintain configuration records, setup instructions, and troubleshooting documentation;
  • Develop a working knowledge of the 3API product, Payment Gateway adapters, and related configuration processes;
  • Collaborate with Product and Analytics teams to simplify configuration in Back Office and the Merchant Dashboard;
  • Identify recurring issues and propose improvements to configuration workflows;
  • Use AI-assisted tools to improve configuration accuracy and reduce manual work.
• Merchant enablement & collaboration:
  • Work closely with internal teams, PSPs, local testers, and merchant teams to ensure successful payment launches;
  • Train merchant teams to configure MIDs and payment methods in Back Office using approved instructions;
  • Communicate configuration requirements, testing results, and potential risks clearly;
  • Ensure smooth handovers and consistent execution of established processes.

Qualifications

• At least 1–1.5 years of experience in payment integration configuration, technical operations, or a similar role;
• Hands-on experience configuring payment methods and Merchant IDs (MIDs);
• Strong understanding of JSON and XML, including payload structures and provider schemas;
• Experience with REST APIs, API contract validation, and Postman or equivalent tools;
• Working knowledge of SQL/PostgreSQL for data validation and troubleshooting;
• Understanding of webhooks, callbacks, and common payment flows, including authorization, capture, settlement, refunds, and voids;
• Knowledge of 3-D Secure (3DS), Strong Customer Authentication (SCA), and MID management;
• Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, manual testing, and log analysis tools;
• Basic understanding of CI/CD and software development lifecycle processes;
• English at B2 level or above;
• Ukrainian or Russian at B1 level or above.

Requirements

• Experience in the iGaming industry;
• Familiarity with KYC/AML requirements and fraud prevention controls relevant to payment configuration;
• Experience using AI-assisted tools for technical configuration or documentation;
• Experience supporting production launches and resolving payment-related incidents.
