Role Description

As the Student Workforce Integration Lead you will provide career advising, job preparedness training, externship assistance and job placement support to students and graduates from Workforce Development partners.

Advise participants on job search strategies and externship expectations
Generate job leads and externship sites for modular programs
Maintain and build relationships with externship sites and employers
Serve as the lead coach and trainer for Externship Academic Staff

Job Description

Make an Impact on Student Lives by:

Partnering with assigned campus(es) in the placement of graduates in employment opportunities
Providing guidance to students and employers for job preparedness and placement processes
Generating externship and employer partner database through outreach efforts
Assisting in the qualification and maintenance of externship site partners
Partnering with Career Services and Externship teams to meet placement goals
Documenting and maintaining detailed student and employment records in CampusVue
Participating in Campus Career Services and Externship meetings as needed
Maintaining communication with students, graduates, and employer partners
Monitoring student externship training for compliance with regulations
Providing orientation for externship supervisors and students as needed
Collecting and uploading externship documents and evaluations
Managing special projects and other duties as assigned

Success Metrics & Key Results

Achieve 65% externship-to-hire conversion for campuses with < 100 Medical Assisting students
Achieve 45% externship-to-hire conversion for campuses with > 100 Medical Assisting students
Meet minimum ABHES and ACCSC employment rate benchmark of 70%
Meet weekly/monthly graduate placement run rates and activity goals
Minimum Employer Survey response rate of 40%

Qualifications

Minimum of three years’ experience as a Medical Assistant
Five years in the vocational education industry supporting Medical Assistant education
Strong proficiency in Career Services and Externship practices
Demonstrated aptitude in career services and academic externship processes
Experience with ACCSC and/or ABHES accreditation bodies is a plus
Ability to gather data, analyze results, and present findings
High proficiency in departmental operations and regulatory guidelines
Excellent competency in relationship building with stakeholders
Strong researching skills to identify externship and employer partners
Ability to generate leads and meet placement goals
Demonstrated computer literacy skills including Microsoft Office applications
Experience with CampusVue/Nexus, Canvas, and CRM tools is a plus
Attention to detail and accuracy is a must
