Role Description

The Master Application Systems Analyst supports EMR Services and works with little to no supervision, exercising appropriate judgment and operational considerations. Responsibilities include:

• Supporting system applications, primarily Beacon.
• Exhibiting expert knowledge and proficiency on overall software functionality and integration.
• Supervising and participating in the team’s work and distribution of responsibilities related to system build, testing, implementation support, and maintenance of assigned Epic applications.
• Communicating team performance to upper management and providing feedback on team member evaluations.
• Performing in-depth analysis, troubleshooting, data collection, and root cause analysis.
• Analyzing/reviewing and testing each product release and communicating needed changes to operations.
• Documenting, following, and enforcing change control procedures for the system.
• Driving and facilitating coordination of efforts required from analysts, system vendors, and operations.
• Researching, analyzing, facilitating, and implementing business and system workflows.
• Identifying best practices and implementing opportunities for standardization.
• Preparing activity and other reports as necessary.
• Attaining necessary certifications, as applicable, in a timely manner according to policy.
• Providing On-Call support for application.
• Providing procedural and technical guidance and supervision to team members.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in computer science, nursing, or a related healthcare field, plus four (4) years of experience in application systems development and testing, including at least two (2) years in a healthcare delivery system and one (1) year managing a process and/or application.
• Or Bachelor's degree in computer science, nursing, or a related healthcare field plus six (6) years of experience in application systems development and testing, including at least two (2) years in a healthcare delivery system and one (1) year managing a process and/or application.
• Or Associate's degree in computer science, nursing, or related healthcare field plus eight (8) years of experience in application systems development and testing, including at least two (2) years in a healthcare delivery system and one (1) year managing a process and/or application.
• Or High School diploma/GED plus ten (10) years of experience in application systems development and testing, including at least two (2) years in a healthcare delivery system and one (1) year managing a process and/or application required.
• Required certification: Epic Beacon.
• Must be certified in accordance with the IT Epic Certification Policy.

Requirements

• Proficient in using Microsoft Office Professional software suite.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Project and Microsoft Visio.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Two years in a leading role with teams or projects is preferred.
