Role Description

The Market Reporter is a primary contributor to price assessments and news reports published daily on DTN Energy’s refined fuels supply chain products.

Gathering spot price assessments for a variety of fuels for publication in a ticker used by DTN customers
Developing brief news reports on key events within the refined fuels industry and tracking developments in broader markets and beyond that have the potential to affect energy markets
Providing regular coverage of NYMEX oil futures
Constantly developing industry sources at the supplier and retailer levels
Occasionally attending industry events to expand knowledge and represent DTN

Qualifications

Minimum one year experience in basis price assessments
Three to five years of experience covering energy markets is required
Experience in price assessments is a must
A solid base of contacts in refined fuels markets, particularly Gulf Coast or New York Harbor
Strong writing and presentation skills
Proven ability to edit market reports for clarity, accuracy, and consistency
Collaborative by nature and willing to be cross-trained to handle a variety of assignments

Requirements

The targeted hiring base pay range for this position is between $65,000 and $81,000
DTN is a pay for performance organization, which means there is the opportunity to advance your compensation with performance over time
The actual base pay offered for this position will be dependent upon many factors, including but not limited to: prior work experience, training/education, transferable skills, business needs, internal equity and applicable laws
The targeted hiring base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future
This role may also be eligible for market competitive variable pay and benefits
