Role Description

As a Managing Security Consultant, you will function as a Security Advisory Services leader for ePlus service solutions, supporting the ePlus regional sales team, to drive revenue creation and capture security program services within the customer account portfolio. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Providing leadership for the security advisory and consulting services for an assigned geography.
• Developing, managing, and enabling a team of security consultants, contractors, and partners.
• Uncovering and pursuing security consulting opportunities focusing on customer business needs and identified cyber security risks.
• Leading engagements as a subject matter expert to deliver client projects.
• Conducting program assessments and measuring the effectiveness of client environments.
• Developing tailored consulting engagements specific to client’s security program maturity, risk profile, and budget.
• Producing comprehensive service engagement deliverables tailored to both technical and managerial audiences.
• Working with Regional Sales leadership to develop a targeted growth plan for security advisory services.
• Establishing credibility with ePlus sales team and customers as a security consultant.
• Conducting customer-facing presentations on ePlus’ core competencies and security service offerings.
• Assisting the sales team with overall account planning related to security program development services.
• Contributing to marketing initiatives through publishing research, speaking at industry conferences, and authoring articles.
• Assisting with Practice development, including improving existing offerings and mentoring team members.
• Fostering client relationships by providing support, information, and guidance.
• Leading technical scoping/reviews with sales team and customers to finalize services proposals.
• Conducting knowledge transfers with solution architect colleagues and sales teams.
• Assisting sales team in dealing with customer satisfaction issues and developing a ‘get well’ plan.
• Identifying product or services candidates for new solution areas for ePlus.
• Completing and/or registering for training and maintaining relevant certifications.
• Participating in weekly service pipeline and progress conference calls with immediate manager.
• Leading and guiding team members, fostering growth through mentoring, coaching, and development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred (Cyber Security and/or Computer Science).
• 5 to 10 years of applicable Security Consulting experience.
• Hold certifications commensurate with the technology and solutions focused on.
• Solutions selling sales cycle understanding.
• Generating and presenting customer-facing presentations.
• Familiar with account planning, pipeline management, and forecasting.
• Ability to draft/compile well-written statements of work and customer deliverables.
• Advanced written and oral communication skills.
• Seasoned in technical strategy and architecture steering, review, and documentation.
• Well-versed in threat modeling and attack frameworks.
• Deep knowledge of industry standard program frameworks such as NIST, ISO, and PCI.
• Flexibility to accommodate changing schedules of client and project needs.
• Willingness to work extended hours, as needed.
• Able to discuss and sell Security Consulting engagements based on Customer needs.
• Able to take ownership of closing and completing these engagements.

Requirements

• Initial base salary range: $175,000 - $190,000 annually.
• Compensation structure may include commissions and discretionary bonuses.
• Employee will be in an “at-will position.”
• Company reserves the right to modify base salary and compensation programs.
