Role Description

The ADA is seeking a dynamic thought leader to advance its strategic vision, grounded in human rights and focused on improving access to optimal health and healthcare for all. This role will report to the Chief Quality Officer and serve as a solution-driven partner across the organization.

• Lead advanced community access, quality improvement and implementation science statistical analysis to measure impact of real-world interventions.
• Oversee and provide thought leadership for data strategy within the Health Access, Primary Care and Quality Portfolio, driving program renewal discussions and scaling successful interventions.
• Lead ADA real world data registry development and maintenance.
• Assist in the development, review, and implementation of grant programs and proposals, ensuring alignment with ADA’s strategic vision and community impact goals.
• Collaborate with the Corporate Alliances Team to engage corporate partners, healthcare professionals, community organizations, and civic leaders to build support and resources for programs that drive sustainable and scalable health outcomes.
• Review and align with local community-driven assessments to help inform future programmatic solutions, ensuring alignment with community needs and future advocacy priorities related to policy, system, and environmental change.
• Work with the Evaluations Team to identify new data sources, metrics, and analytics that measure the effectiveness of health access programs and initiatives.
• Serve as principal investigator for relevant real world diabetes improvement studies.
• Establish and cultivate data partnerships with quality, community and primary care networks.
• Serve as the primary liaison for 1-2 national board committees, providing leadership, support, and ensuring alignment with ADA’s strategic priorities.
• Attend in-person events, conferences, and meetings to increase visibility for ADA’s health access efforts and advocacy initiatives.

Qualifications

• Minimum Master’s degree with at least 8 years of experience; PhD or DrPH in relevant field preferred.
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in diabetes data strategy and data analysis is essential.
• Proven ability to lead and manage teams, with experience influencing and collaborating across departments.
• Proven track record of collaboration and influencing stakeholders across functional areas to achieve organizational goals.
• Available for occasional travel (15-25% of the time).

• Ability to prioritize and manage complex projects and portfolios with competing deadlines, using project plans and dashboards.
• Ability to lead advanced statistical analysis.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to handle large volumes of data and communicate information effectively.
• Expertise in communicating complex policies and strategies to diverse stakeholders.
• Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
• SAS, STATA or R advanced proficiency.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
