Role Description

Maine Community Action Partnership (MeCAP) is seeking an experienced and mission-driven leader to serve as its next Managing Director. The Managing Director will lead MeCAP’s strategic vision, financial sustainability, and operations while acting as the organization’s public face and driving its impact through stakeholder engagement and grants administration. Reporting directly to the MeCAP President and Board of Directors, this position will play a critical role in ensuring that Community Action resources are available statewide in Maine.

The ideal candidate will possess demonstrated experience with:

• Strong skills in leadership and strategic visioning
• Financial, operational, and team management
• Fundraising and grant writing
• Communications and public relations
• Governance and risk management
• Project management
• Exceptional interpersonal and negotiating skills

Additionally, the candidates will have a broad understanding of poverty-related issues in Maine and how Community Action can be used to work toward alleviating poverty in Maine.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Related experience
• Ability to be flexible
• Self-driven

Requirements

• This is an exempt position, providing a competitive salary (starting at $75,000 per year, negotiable based on experience) and generous benefits package.
