Role Description

The Manager, GQO – Business Process Continuous Improvement is an important member of Global Quality Operations. This role will play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence through data analytics, business process optimization, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives across Global Quality.

This position is responsible for:

• Identifying and implementing process improvements
• Developing and maintaining dashboards and reporting solutions
• Tracking and trending key business metrics
• Supporting technology-enabled solutions
• Leading continuous improvement projects

The role also involves serving as an internal consultant to Global Quality by:

• Analyzing data and recommending solutions
• Leveraging systems and technology to improve business performance, compliance, and operational effectiveness
• Leading process improvement, automation, and operational excellence initiatives identified through business performance reviews, governance forums, and stakeholder feedback

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in Business, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Quality Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
• 5+ years of experience in business process improvement, operations, analytics, quality systems, or related roles, preferably within the pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare industry
• Proficiency in LMS platforms, QMS platforms, reporting tools, dashboard development, and data visualization solutions
• Experience with process improvement methodologies and business intelligence platforms
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including complex formulas, pivot tables, Power Query, data modeling, and reporting automation
• Experience with Microsoft Power BI and Power Automate and workflow automation tools
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and create actionable insights
• Excellent organizational, communication, project management, and stakeholder management skills
• Experience supporting compliance, audits, and inspection readiness activities is a plus

Requirements

• Identify and communicate opportunities for process and quality improvements across Global Quality
• Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives focused on increasing efficiency, effectiveness, compliance, and quality outcomes
• Conduct business process analyses and assessments to identify gaps, risks, trends, and opportunities for optimization
• Partner with stakeholders to implement sustainable solutions and monitor the effectiveness of business process improvements
• Promote a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement across the organization
• Develop, maintain, and enhance dashboards and reporting solutions that support Global Quality business objectives
• Collect, analyze, trend, and interpret data from multiple systems and business processes
• Identify and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics aligned with organizational priorities
• Generate standard and custom reports to support decision making, operational reviews, governance meetings, and leadership reporting
• Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on data analysis and performance trends
• Acquire and maintain knowledge of current technologies and systems utilized within Global Quality
• Act as an internal consultant by analyzing business needs and recommending technology-enabled solutions
• Support efforts to optimize system utilization, data management, reporting capabilities, and business processes
• Partner with business and technology teams to identify system enhancements and opportunities to improve user experience and efficiency
• Evaluate new technologies and tools that support operational excellence and continuous improvement objectives
• Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and improve ways of working across Global Quality
• Design, develop, and implement automated workflows, reporting solutions, and other digital tools
• Collaborate with stakeholders to streamline processes and reduce administrative burden through automation and technology solutions
• Support the adoption of new tools and technologies that improve operational performance and productivity
• Act as the Project Manager for business process improvement, reporting, automation, and operational excellence initiatives
• Develop project plans, timelines, and resource requirements while ensuring timely delivery
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives and drive successful implementation of solutions
• Monitor project progress and communicate status, risks, and outcomes to stakeholders
• Support audit and inspection readiness activities through effective reporting, documentation, and data management
• Provide metrics, dashboards, and trending information to support compliance monitoring and inspection activities
• Assist in responding to audit-related inquiries and support corrective and preventive action initiatives as needed
