Role Description

Bring your energy to Aggreko as a Major Project Travel Technician 2- Temp Control based in any US city. Power without pause. Heating, cooling and oil-free air without end. What you’ll do:

• Be part of an elite technician team working on a wide range of projects from large events to assisting Utilities customers or being part of a turnaround team in a refinery.
• Install, commission, service and repair Aggreko generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment and/or OFA systems.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures both on Major Projects and in service centers.
• Utilize mathematical formulas to calculate both nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements.
• Read and comprehend electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and service manuals.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of, practice, and promote safe working conditions in accordance with OSHA, EPA and other required regulations.
• Interface with a remote operations center to prevent failures and help design proactive notifications to avoid failures and ensure compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED.
• 4+ years' experience working on power generators, performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
• Electrical Generating System Association technician or other various certifications are a plus but not required.
• Knowledge using metering and instruments such as multi-meters, amp meters, and Hygrometers.
• Based on customer requirements, may be required to obtain and maintain a TWIC card or valid DOT medical card, valid driver’s license.

Requirements

• Ability to move or lift objects, typically less than 75 lbs.
• Availability to work the assigned schedule, travel to work locations (if needed), and be on standby for work outside of regularly scheduled shifts.
• Must be able to stand, walk and sit for prolonged periods of time; and be able to walk over uneven terrain with functional balance.
• Must be able to move the extremities and spine through a functional range of motion for safe work performance.
• Must have good finger dexterity to manipulate small items, functional hand-eye coordination, and adequate grip strength.
• Must be able to safely meet the physical demands outlined in the Essential Physical Capacities Assessment and pass the post-offer physical abilities assessment.
