Role Description

As a Mainframe Security Analyst, you will:

• Design, document, test, maintain, and provide issue resolution recommendations for moderately complex security solutions related to networking, cryptography, cloud authentication, directory services, email, internet applications, and endpoint security.
• Review and correlate security logs.
• Utilize subject matter knowledge in industry-leading security solutions and best practices to implement one or more components of information security such as:
  • Availability
  • Integrity
  • Confidentiality
  • Risk management
  • Threat identification
  • Modeling
  • Monitoring
  • Incident response
  • Access management
  • Business continuity
• Identify security vulnerabilities and issues, perform risk assessments, and evaluate remediation alternatives.
• Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Information Security Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
• 5+ years of mainframe security risk assessment and remediation experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on Resource Access Control Facility (RACF) experience with at least current and supported version (z/OS 2.1 and above).
• 5+ years of mainframe security experience using native z/OS and Resource Access Control Facility (RACF) tools.
• 5+ years of experience issuing Resource Access Control Facility (RACF) commands and performing diagnosis.

Requirements

• The ideal candidate will have:
• 5+ years of JCL (Job Control Language) experience.
• 5+ years of TSO (Time Sharing Options) experience.
• 5+ years of REXX and CARLa experience.
• zSecure tool experience.
• Advanced Information Security technical skills and understanding of information security practices and policies.
• Ability to manage complex issues and develop solutions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
