Role Description

We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Scheduler Migration Specialist with strong expertise in IBM Z Workload Scheduler and z/OS environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience migrating batch scheduling products to IBM Z Workload Scheduler, troubleshooting migration issues, analyzing workload reports, and supporting scheduling activities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with Mainframe environments, including OS/390 or z/OS
• 5+ years of IBM Z Workload Scheduler experience
• Proficiency with TSO/ISPF editing
• Strong understanding of JCL
• Experience monitoring workloads through ISPF
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Requirements

• Migrate existing batch scheduling products to IBM Z Workload Scheduler
• Analyze and troubleshoot scheduling migration issues
• Monitor workloads using ISPF
• Investigate reports and identify root causes and corrective actions
• Document migration activities, findings, and resolutions
• Collaborate with project managers, internal teams, contractors, and customer teams
• Support scheduling product replacement and migration activities
• Assist with workload automation and scheduling-related issues
