Role Description

The Field Service Engineer is responsible for providing high quality onsite customer support and representing the face of Beckman Coulter to our customers. This position reports to the Southern Field Services Manager and is part of the Field Technical Service team located in Buckinghamshire, working remotely to cover Oxford & SW, London and Cambridge.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Conduct service, repair, installation of products and ensure Preventative Maintenance Inspections and modifications are completed within the specified time frames.
• Adhere to customer-focused strategies to achieve business goals, increase customer satisfaction, whilst positioning Service Support as a positive sales differentiator in an increasingly competitive market.
• Ensure accurate and timely completion of all paperwork, debriefing and reports, and maintain accurate car inventory.

Qualifications

• A minimum HNC (or equivalent) in a relevant technical subject.
• Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively both internally and externally at all levels.
• Drive to continuously seek to add value to the services provided and achieve first-time fixes, leading to reduced breakdown times, lower costs to the customer, thus enhancing customer satisfaction and retention.

Requirements

• Ability to travel with occasional overnight stays supporting both local territory and other territories as required.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to lift, move or carry equipment service kits.
