[Hiring] Legionella Risk Assessor @OCS Group

Role Description

This position is a mobile role, covering the South East England region (including central London).

Company vehicle provided (travel paid after first 30 minutes).

Qualifications

• City & Guilds Legionella Risk Assessing (WH004 or equivalent)
• City & Guilds Legionella Control in Hot and Cold-Water Systems (or equivalent)

Requirements

• Experience as a Legionella Risk Assessor, undertaking risk assessments on domestic hot and cold systems
• Good knowledge of HSG274 Part 2, ACOP L8 and UK water hygiene legislation
• Experience carrying out water sampling, temperature monitoring and remedial works
• Strong problem-solving, attention to detail and communication skills
• Knowledge of COSHH and safe handling of water treatment chemicals
• Full UK driving licence

Key Responsibilities

• Water System Maintenance
  • Undertaking legionella risk assessments
  • Supporting on the following tasks: inspection and disinfection of hot and cold-water systems (including storage tanks, calorifiers and associated pipework) in line with HSG274 Part 2 and ACOP L8
  • Carry out routine temperature monitoring, water sampling and basic testing to minimise Legionella risk
• Compliance & Risk Management
  • Support Legionella risk assessments and implement required control measures
  • Ensure compliance with ACOP L8, HSG274, COSHH, and Health & Safety legislation
  • Maintain accurate inspection, testing and compliance records
• Remedial & Installation Works
  • Complete flushing, descaling, chlorination and other remedial works
  • Respond to emergency water hygiene callouts when required
• Customer Service
  • Communicate inspection findings and recommendations to clients
  • Deliver a professional, customer-focused service at all times
• Health & Safety
  • Promote a strong health and safety culture across all activities
  • Work in accordance with OCS policies, RAMS and Construction Phase Plans (CPPs)
  • Complete and support risk assessments, method statements and toolbox talks
